CHICAGO (AP) — Gio Reyna is on Gregg Berhalter’s U.S. roster for the first time since a family feud caused the coach to lose his job for the first five months of this year. The 20-year midfielder was among 23 players selected Thursday for exhibition games against Germany on Oct. 14 at East Hartford, Connecticut, and Ghana three days later at Nashville, Tennessee.Reyna has not played a first-team match since he sustained a hairline fracture in a bone in his right leg during the CONCACAF Nations League semifinal against Canada on June 18.A son of former U.S. captain Claudio Reyna and midfielder Danielle Egan, Gio Reyna was limited to a pair of substitute appearances at last year’s World Cup. Berhalter said during a management conference after the tournament that he nearly sent a player home from Qatar for lack of effort during training, remarks Berhalter thought were not going to be made public and clearly were about Reyna.Reyna’s parents contacted the U.S. Soccer Federatio...After 248 days atop the Premier League last season, Arsenal aims for statement win against Man City

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Arsenal spent 248 days at the top of the Premier League last season and still ended up empty-handed. By Sunday night it could return to the summit of England’s top division and deliver a big statement in the process. Arsenal hosts champion Manchester City at Emirates Stadium in a meeting between last season’s top two that will be seen as an early gauge of the Londoners’ title credentials. Arsenal last won the trophy in 2004 and looked set to end its wait to lift it again by repeatedly confounding preseason expectations to lead the way from the start until the closing stages of the campaign. Eventually, though, it folded under the pressure from City to earn the distinction of having spent the longest period at the top without being crowned champions. Arsenal has responded impressively after last season’s disappointment. It beat City in the Community Shield in August and goes into Sunday’s game a point behind the champions, whos...Grains mostly higher, Livestock higher.

Now, X only displays an article’s lead image and a link to the story.Plans for the change were first reported by Fortune in August, when owner Elon Musk confirmed in a tweet that he thought the change— which came from him “directly” — would “greatly improve the esthetics” of posts.Linked articles now appear as an image, and include text in the left-hand corner noting the domain of the link. Users must click on the image if they wish to visit the full article, which could lead to confusion.Musk’s platform has been the target of a lot of criticism recently, including accusations by a top European Union official who said that X has “the largest ratio of mis- or disinformation posts.” The Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish civil-rights organization, has accused Musk of allowing antisemitism and hate speech to spread on the platform.Musk’s latest decisi...Latest news
