CapMetro adding 100+ bus shelters to service area amid scorching heat AUSTIN (KXAN) — CapMetro is installing more than 100 new transit shade shelters across its ridership network to help customers beat the scorching heat.Austin's transit authority partnered with Tolar Manufacturing on 149 new shelters slated to be installed in CapMetro's service area. The shelters feature solid aluminum roofs and perforated panels to help riders avoid the sun, the transit authority said in a tweet. CapMetro offers complimentary rides to cooling centers The 149-shelter delivery comes during the first year of a five-year contract between Tolar Manufacturing and CapMetro. Moreau man charged with robbery MOREAU, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Moreau man has been arrested following a robbery investigation, according to state police. On June 16 at 12:04 p.m., troopers responded to the Dunkin Donuts on State Route 9 in Moreau for the report of a robbery in progress. The suspect had fled the location before law enforcement arrived. According to police, the investigation determined that Mclean was responsible for the robbery, and he was located at a nearby hotel. No one was injured during the crime, and no weapons were ever displayed. Man arrested for allegedly damaging cars at SPAC Police say Mclean initially provided false identifying information before he was arrested and transported to SP Wilton for processing. Man arrested for allegedly damaging cars at SPAC SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Ballston man has been arrested after he allegedly damaged over a dozen parked cars at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). New York State Police said Scott Bullard, 24, was arrested on June 18. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! On Sunday around 10 p.m., troopers responded to Saratoga Spa State Park for the report of someone damaging cars near North South Road. After an investigation, police found that Bullard allegedly damaged 18 parked cars by standing and jumping on them.No one was injured and Bullard was taken into custody at the scene. This was the same night as the second Dead & Company concert at SPAC. Driver charged in Duanesburg trooper-involved shooting Bullard was charged with 18 counts of third-degree criminal mischief. He was issued an appearance ticket to return to Saratoga City Court on July 5 and released.
