Coloradans can expect more opportunities to get rebates on e-bike purchases as the state government on Thursday made $2.5 million available for local governments to start their own rebate programs following overwhelming demand for the discounts.Local and tribal governments can apply for a portion of the money to create their own rebate programs for low-income residents. Grants awarded by state officials will range from $25,000 to $750,000 and can be used to provide discounts at the time of sale or as a rebate after purchase. The state money awarded through the new local government grants program can only be used to provide rebates for people who fall at or below the median income for their county, as defined by the state.“The statewide e-bike rebate program, as well as other local e-bike rebate programs, have experienced tremendous interest to date,” said Sarah Thorne, a senior program manager for Colorado Energy Office’s transportation team who runs the program. “T...No, Hunter Tyson is not Larry Bird. But Michael Malone isn’t Tyson’s first coach to invoke the Hall of Famer

By the end of Hunter Tyson’s freshman season, it was clear that he could be given a hard time and not take it personally. Clemson coach Brad Brownell admired how coachable the teenager was in a peripheral role at the time.So during a practice early in Tyson’s career, after he had chucked some ill-advised shots, Brownell teased him in front of the team.“Hey man, you’re not Larry Bird,” Brownell remembers saying. “Pass the ball.”Tyson was sufficiently ribbed by his teammates after practice. But it wasn’t until years later that he earned back the comparison in earnest. The marquee performance of Tyson’s five-year college career — the one that helped catapult him toward first-team All-ACC honors and the second round of the NBA draft — was a 31-point, 15-rebound display against North Carolina State. Brownell was in awe during a second-half timeout, enough to announce to the huddle: “Fellas, maybe he is Larry Bird tonight.”So Bro...Bigfoot in Colorado? So he’s like, ‘Bigfoot!’” Shannon told The New York Post. “It was at least six, seven feet or taller. It matched the sage in the mountains so much that he’s like camouflaged when crouching down.”Shannon said in a Facebook post that she scrambled to take photos of the beast, while a man sitting next to Stetson took a video of the creature that has now gone viral on social media.“Y’all, out of the hundreds of people on the tra...Latest news
