ATLANTA (AP) — Vaughn Grissom didn’t have the chance to open the season in Atlanta as he hoped. Now that he’s back in the majors, the shortstop is proving he can fit in the Braves’ productive lineup.Grissom had two hits, including a single to drive in the go-ahead run in Atlanta’s four-run eighth inning, and the Braves rallied to overcome a strong start by Miami’s Sandy Alcantara and beat the Marlins 6-4 on Wednesday night.Dylan Floro (1-1) blew a 4-2 lead in the eighth, which began with Matt Olson’s seventh homer. Grissom’s single to right field drove in Eddie Rosario, who tripled, for a 5-4 lead. Marcell Ozuna’s grounder was fielded by Floro in front of the mound, but Floro’s wild throw past catcher Jacob Stallings for an error allowed Ozzie Albies to score.“You see it all forming in front of you and you see it all about to happen,” said Grissom of his key at-bat. “I just had to have a good plan and try to execute and put th...

Hyde5: Tkachuk, the star of this series, keeps Florida Panthers going with dramatic goal in overtime

The Matthew Tkachuk trade keeps getting better and better with each night. His overtime goal in Wednesday’s 4-3 win against Boston in Game 5 didn’t just keep the Florida Panthers season going. It established him even more these playoffs as the face of this franchise moving forward. He’s not only a scorer but an edgy physical presence that has caught Boston’s full attention this series. On a team that doesn’t play as cute as last season but still doesn’t have enough grit, Tkachuk brings the sandpaper personality you hope rubs off on others. He has three goals and three assists this series to lead the team. He also leads in being an instigator against Boston. You know how the Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill was a star who played beyond hopes? Tkachuk is the same idea for the Panthers as they go for the big surprise against Boston.“We were supposed to get swept in this series, right?” he said after his game-winner sent this series bac...

SAN DIEGO (KSWB) -- Window tinting is popular among many drivers. But what's legal and what's not in California?"The purpose of having the window tint law is basically, you don't drive at night with your sunglasses on, and that's essentially what you're doing with 40% of your vision," California Highway Patrol Sgt. Brian Pennings told FOX 5 Wednesday.Pennings says tinted windows have been a factor in collisions due to drivers being unable to see out of their vehicles. Is a front license plate required in California? "It's a safety issue, and lawmakers in California have decided to keep this law on our books," Pennings added.Rear windowsDrivers can tint their rear windows as long as their vehicle has two side mirrors, not including the rearview mirror, Pennings said. Front windowsWhen it comes to front windows, California law states drivers must have 70% transparency, meaning they can have 30% tint, Pennings said. ‘Brake checking’ a tailgater: Is it legal in California?
