ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - More than 130 dogs are on the road to recovery after they were rescued from puppy mills across the Midwest.They're being sent to animal shelters across the country Wednesday. The Animal Protective Association of Missouri is taking in 17 of those animals. Frost possible near St. Louis this weekend The 'Bissell Pet Foundation' is paying for the travel costs. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A former north county cooperative police officer is in court Wednesday for a detention hearing.Marcellis Blackwell was arrested in June for allegedly sexually assaulting men he detained or arrested. BONNE TERRE, Mo. - A Missouri prison guard who admitted to assaulting an inmate and possessing child porn will be sentenced Wednesday.37-year-old Carl Hart worked at a state prison in Bonne Terre. He told a federal court that an argument with an inmate led to the inmate getting pepper-sprayed. Hart admitted to hitting the inmate twice while he was washing off the spray in the shower. Ken Chan is a modern nomad, an untethered traveler of the world for work and pleasure, who believes the City of Denver has encroached on his right to move about freely.In 2021 and 2022, Chan rented out his home on Race Street in the Cole neighborhood while he was traveling, which was most of the year. He did that this year as well, until the Department of Excise and Licenses declined to renew his short-term rental license in August.Under city rules, homeowners can rent out only their primary residence.
