Chicago among the top cities in US for paranormal activity, per survey

CHICAGO — If you're a fan of the supernatural, then Chicago is your place to be, according to a recent survey.Per Lawn Love, the city is ranked third in the United States when it comes to paranormal activity.The company looked at 14 different metrics when ranking the 200 biggest cities in America when it comes to their instances of the supernatural. They were put into four categories: Sightings, haunted locations, lifestyle, and community.In the survey, Chicago was second in the number of paranormal conventions and vampire-friendliness, third in the number of paranormal sightings, and eighth in the number of haunted sites.In the four main categories, the city was third in lifestyle, fourth in community, tenth in haunted locations, and 11th in sightings. According to this system, Chicago had a score of 44.25, which put it behind first place Los Angeles (59.21) and second place New York (48). ALLEN, Texas (KETK) - Authorities have identified the victims of the mass shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas. According to the Texas Department of Safety, the youngest victim was a 3-year-old boy from Dallas. The oldest were his parents. KAMAS, Utah (KTVX) -- A Utah woman who wrote a children's book about coping with grief following the death of her husband has been charged with murder, according to court documents.Kouri Richins was arrested on May 8 in Summit County for aggravated murder and three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, court records show. The alleged murder occurred on March 3, 2022, a day before Richins' husband, Eric Richins, died "unexpectedly," per his obituary. He and Kouri were married for nine years and had three young sons together. The family of a 54-year-old Andrew Sanchez, shot and killed after an apparent road-rage incident earlier this year, is grieving the loss of their beloved son, brother, father and one-on-one health aide to special needs children at Werner Elementary School in Rialto. "He had a sense of humor, enjoyed his cooking, enjoyed his family,” Sanchez’s mother, Mary Louise Sanchez, said of her son. “He was happy at his job, enjoyed working with those special needs kids.” The 54-year-old, who she called Andy, had also become her caretaker in recent years. The fatal shooting occurred on Feb. 28 near the intersection of 5th Street and Tippecanoe Avenue in Highland.
